Although this bead loomed pendant has a quite modern look, its pattern was inspired by a vintage Spanish tile produced by Tejera y Cia. from 1895 to 1904.
Beautiful things never go out of style.
For bead looming little changes are necessary, however, as the beads are not square.
This pendant shows a geometric pattern of soft lilac and purple on a beautifully shimmering transparent silver background.
As you can tell from the pictures, the dark purple seems to change its color in the light. That effect comes from the beads really being blue with a purple lining.
There is no bail, the top part is sewn up to form a tube through which the grey neckwire of 45 cm or 17 3/4 inch goes.
The pendant itself is 5 cm or 2 inch long and 4.4 cm or 1 3/4 inch wide.
The tile pendants are inspired by the collection of my friend, please have a look at her blog http://mosaicos-hidraulicos.blogspot.com.es
They are part of a series, search "floor" in my shop if you'd like to see more.
