Unicorns are magical creatures and most of us are drawn to them.
This special unicorn pendant is made on a bead loom after a pattern of my own.
After looming the white head with the golden horn, the white beard and the grey shadows I first had to time consumingly sew all the threads back into the pendant which also makes it sturdier although there is still some flexibility to it.
After I had added a hidden brick stitch bail on the back, I sewed on rows and rows of golden/mauve beads for a full mane. Except for one string of beads the long mane is not sewn to the unicorn head allowing it to fly and move when you move.
The bail is sewn on in a way that allows the pendant to sit slightly crooked when worn as you can tell from the picture. It makes the horn go up and the mane spread out a little which looks more dramatic.
A gold tone ball chain of 60 cm or 23.5 inch length (which can be made shorter to the length you prefer) runs through the bail.
The pendant itself is 6.5 cm or 2.5 inch from the tip of the horn to the neck when worn.
I can also make this into a horse pendant without the horn.
